Boreal Proper Ocean Fish Dog Food is a fish-forward dry dog food formulated with herring meal as the primary protein source, using a natural fish flavour. The core carbohydrate base comes from dehulled barley, steel-cut oats, and green peas. Canola oil, preserved with mixed tocopherols (vitamin E), contributes to the fat profile. Omega-6 fatty acids total 1.878% and omega-3 fatty acids 0.47%, present as naturally occurring components of the ingredient blend.
A comprehensive vitamin and mineral premix is included, with selenium, zinc, copper, vitamins A, D, E, and B vitamins; calcium at 1.5% and phosphorus at 1.05%. A yeast culture and natural fish flavour enhance palatability. Dried apple and dried carrot are included as whole-food botanical ingredients. Energy density is 3,520 kcal/kg.
