Boreal Functional Indoor is a grain-free dry cat food made with Canadian chicken as the first ingredient, formulated for indoor cats of all breeds. The recipe centres on chicken, chicken meal, and salmon meal as the protein base, complemented by dried egg product and salmon oil for a well-rounded amino acid and fatty acid profile.
Sweet potato, buckwheat, pumpkin, and lentils provide digestible carbohydrate energy. Sun-dried miscanthus grass fibre, chicory root extract, and prebiotic fibres are included as formulation ingredients contributing to the overall fibre content of the recipe. The botanical blend includes blueberries, cranberries, apples, spinach, kelp, ginger root, chamomile flowers, thyme extract, and yucca schidigera extract — all included as whole-food plant ingredients within the recipe. Salmon oil and flaxseed contribute naturally occurring omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids as part of the ingredient profile. Taurine is present as a naturally included nutrient. Chicken fat is preserved naturally with mixed tocopherols and citric acid — no artificial additives are used.
