Farmina N&D Ocean is a dry puppy food formulated for medium and large breed puppies, built around cod as the primary protein source alongside dehydrated cod and dehydrated herring. Herring oil is included as a natural source of EPA and DHA — omega-3 fatty acids that puppies cannot synthesise on their own and that are present in the recipe as essential nutrients. Dehydrated shrimp contribute naturally occurring glucosamine hydrochloride and chondroitin sulfate, compounds found in connective tissue that are part of the whole-ingredient sourcing approach.
Sweet potato, pumpkin, and cantaloupe provide digestible carbohydrates and natural dietary fibre, while inulin and fructooligosaccharides (FOS) are included as prebiotic ingredients that contribute to a balanced gut environment. Taurine and L-carnitine are present as naturally included nutrients within the formulation — both are amino acid derivatives commonly found in animal-based protein sources.
The botanical blend includes aloe vera gel concentrate, green tea extract, rosemary extract, and mixed tocopherols — each selected as natural components of the ingredient profile rather than as isolated additives. No artificial preservatives, colours, or flavours are used in this recipe.
